Meilav sponsors F1 in Schools project at Carles Capdevila School
At Meilav, we firmly believe that engineering is a subject that should be introduced to students from an early age. Inspiring and sparking curiosity in young minds through real, hands-on projects like F1 in Schools is an excellent way to do just that. That is why we are proud to sponsor the Ctrl+Speed team from Carles Capdevila School in this exciting initiative.
The values behind F1 in Schools
F1 in Schools is an educational programme aimed at bringing science, engineering, technology, and mathematics closer to secondary school students through a thrilling challenge: designing, building, and racing a miniature Formula 1 car powered by CO₂.
Each team operates like a real Formula 1 team -developing the car’s design with aerodynamic efficiency in mind, engineering all internal components such as the propulsion system, managing budgets, and securing sponsors. The entire process mirrors the structure and workflow of the professional motorsport industry.
The final competition will take place at the Sports Summit Madrid 2025, an event that brings together sport, innovation, and talent. There students will race against other schools and present their projects to companies, institutions, and industry leaders.
Supporting young talent
The future of any industry begins in the classroom. That is why Meilav have chosen to support this forward-thinking project. We believe in providing young people with real opportunities to apply technical knowledge, develop teamwork, and build skills that will shape their future careers.
This initiative aligns perfectly with our values: bringing engineering and technology closer to society, fostering technical vocations, and promoting experiential learning as a powerful tool for training tomorrow’s professionals.
From everyone at Meilav, we wish the Ctrl+Speed tem the very best in the competition. We are proud to support a project as inspiring as F1 in Schools -because backing the next generation is not just an investment in the future, it is a purposeful way to shape the present.
